Total Quartz 9000 5w-40 synthetic engine oil has been developed to meet the most stringent requirements for oils for the most
modern petrol, diesel engines (cars from year 2000 onwards). Suitable for use in particularly demanding conditions (urban cycle, highway), all year round.
Especially recommended for use in turbocharged, multi-valve engines, as well as engines with direct fuel injection.
Very high antioxidant properties. Easy cold-starting and fuel-saving due to high oil fluidity at low temperatures. Durable oil film protects the engine, even at extremely high temperatures. Protects friction pairs and fully preserves engine power.
Retains the cleanliness of the most sensitive engine parts thanks to high-performance detergent and dispersant additives.
Excellent oil, in particular for regions with high ambient temperatures. The oil has one of the lowest ash contents of its class compared to its equivalents – safe for the catalytic converter.
Very low sulfur content, low NOAK, the oil is quite thermostable, has not very high burn rate, and works well on high-speed engines. Additive package – ZDDP – moderate, medium content, but quite sufficient. Excellent neutralizing and detergent abilities (high calcium content), boron is present – a decent, popular oil for a wide range of cars of different brands with an excellent price/quality ratio.

Total Quartz 9000 5w-40 – this synthetic oil was originally developed to meet the most demanding requirements of modern engines equipped with turbines and hybrid powertrains. The main feature of this lubricant is the increase in service life of turbines and compressors in highly accelerated engines.
It is best used in heavy-duty vehicle applications where it provides the maximum level of protection for engine parts against overheating and premature wear. Good cleaning properties help to clean combustion and oxidation product deposits quickly and efficiently. This all adds up to considerably longer engine life, irrespective of the type of fuel used.
Due to its all-season properties, the oil retains its fluidity in extreme cold and its normal viscosity in hot weather, which guarantees the easy starting of the engine in various weather conditions.
Its excellent lubricating properties make it easier for the engine’s metal parts to move, thus increasing efficiency, which has a positive effect on fuel consumption. The reliable oil film is retained even at a temperature of 150 degrees. This factor is especially important for modern high-powered engines equipped with a turbine.
